Governors
School Governing Body
The Governors play an essential role in the school's development, and assist by serving as an advisory and directive board. They make decisions on how the school is operated. The Full Body meets at least once a term, and regular meetings of the sub-committees are held to discuss staffing, finance, SEN, curriculum and building aspects.
The Governors are appointed to assist with:
- making decisions on what is taught and that the pupils receive an education of the highest quality
- moderating children's behaviour
- interviewing and appointing staff
- deciding how to spend the budget
The Governors are:
- Parents
- Teachers and Ancillary Staff
- Local council representatives
- Representatives of the commercial services
The parent Governors:
- Have a child at the school
- Are elected by the school's parents
- Serve as every other governor for a period of 4 years
